TOPIC: GROWING YOUR FAITH BY THE WORD
SCRIPTURE: Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: To grow your faith, the Word of God must enter your spirit consistently.
The Word of God has been confirmed to be the most essential ingredient for the growth of faith. This is because the Word of God is the foundation for faith.
To grow your faith, the Word of God must enter your spirit consistently. Never be too busy for the Word of God because the Word of God is the builder of faith. Let the reading and studying of the Word of God feature prominently in your daily schedule.
Avoid idle moments in life. While driving or eating, it is possible for a message or audio Bible to be playing in the background. Let light and insight from the Word of God flood your spirit from time to time.
Sometime ago, a man testified in our Church about a night revelation he had concerning rapture. He was raptured, but as he was going right in the air, suddenly, the wrong thought that was on his mind before he slept sprang up and began to weigh him down. He descended immediately and then saw millions of people trooping to hell. He woke up in regret but thanked God it was a dream.
Many people are too busy with the things of this life. Many people feed their mind with wrong thoughts; they have no time for the Word of God. The truth is, anything that will build your faith will also build your holiness because it is not possible to live in the Word and still live in sin.
So, respect your time with God; respect your time with the Word of God; pay attention to your prayer and devotional life. If you ever remember food, remember the Word of God also.
REMEMBER THIS: To grow your faith, the Word of God must enter your spirit consistently.
ASSIGNMENTS:
- Do not allow your heart to be a fertile ground for evil thoughts and garbage.
- Let the Word of God dwell richly in you to grow your faith in God.
PRAYER: Lord, I accept the discipline to saturate my thoughts with Your Word. Let Your Word dwell richly in me, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
