TOPIC: GOING UP BY EXCELLENCE
SCRIPTURE: Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king thought to set him over the whole realm. DANIEL 6:3.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Excellence is the key to eminence. To go up in life, you must embrace excellence.
It has been established that excellence is key to the top. Excellence is the key to eminence. To go up in life, you must embrace excellence.
Sometime ago, I was invited for the commissioning of a construction work by the Nigerian Army. One of our members in Church, who is also a brother of mine, was the Director-in-Charge of that construction. So, every high ranking officer in the military was there for the commissioning – all the General Officers Commanding (GOC) in Nigeria, the Principal Staff Officers, the Chief of Defence Staff, the Chief of Army Staff, the Chief of Air Staff, the Chief of Naval Staff, Inspector General of Police, etc., were all there.
The person who read the address at that occasion acknowledged me twice in the presence of everyone because of how we collaborated with the Nigerian Army to do something in the place.
But that was not what excited me the most. What excited me the most was the Address of the Co-ordinator of the Project, who is a member of our Church.
Before he read his Address, they introduced him as Colonel so and so, who is a Two-Time recipient of the Chief of Army Staff award for outstanding engineering feats. People usually receive this award only once in their entire career.
As I was there looking at everything, I said, “Lord, this is the product of excellence.”
The first person to speak was the Chief of Army Staff. The next person who spoke was our member, a Colonel, then.
The third person to speak was the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the country’s President. Those were the three people who spoke. At the end of the event, a Major General came and gave a vote of thanks.
Can you see the line up? Can you see the place that excellence can take a person to?
Beloved, make up your mind to excel in whatever you do and you will go up in life effortlessly.
REMEMBER THIS: Excellence is the key to eminence. To go up in life, you must embrace excellence.

PRAYER: Lord, I receive the grace for excellence and distinction. Help me to go up in life by the force of excellence, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
