SCRIPTURE: For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The Word of God is the secret of quality life and enviable existence.
It has been confirmed that the Bible is the Number One Bestseller of all times. It has never shifted from being the number one bestseller of all times. No book, both religious and secular, has ever outsold the Bible. The Bible is the most purchased Book in the world, even unbelievers purchase it.
One day, Voltaire, a French atheist boasted from his storey building that the Bible was nothing but a bunch of superstition, an out-dated, out-modelled, and antiquated piece of material. He said that he gave the Bible fifty years and it would not be found anywhere but in dusty museums in some remotely disconnected part of the world.
Before the fifty years, Voltaire died and while he was dying, he said, “The flames of hell are mine alone” and he headed for hell.
Fifty years after he died, the World Bible Society, by Divine orchestration, bought Voltaire’s house and from his house, Bibles started being printed and distributed around the world. Thus the base from where he boasted became the distribution centre of the Bible to the world.
The Bible is the Word of God; and the Word of God is more powerful than a two-edged sword. The Word of God is the secret of quality life and enviable existence. What you will become on earth is a product of your dedication to the Word of God.
Beloved, I counsel you to take the Word of God seriously. Read it, study it, meditate on it, pray it, do it and preach it.
Remember this: The Word of God is the secret of quality life and enviable existence.

PRAYER: Lord, I ask for the grace and discipline to study, do and preach the Word. I reject every form of indolence towards the study of the Word, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
