Thiago Messi
scored a sensational goal for Barcelona’s youth side and there are signs the
seven-year-old would fit into his dad’s shoes.
Messi eldest
was released with a good pass as he showed pace like his father and finished
with a right-foot before the goalkeeper could find his footing. A video clip of
the brilliant run and the composed finish surfaced on the internet as many have
made encouraging comments about the the young lad.
Many will
not be looking far for a replacement if Messi finally decides to hang his
football boots with the level his eldest son is going. And it seems Thiago will
be more of a right-footer due to his control and touches, very much unlike his
father who does almost everything with his left-foot.
With the way things are going, Thiago’s form points towards a future where the Messi and Ronaldo debate does not go away.
Messi and Ronaldo have won 11 Ballon d’Ors between them and there has been an unanswered questions about who is the best between the pair among their fans.
Ronaldo is at the tail-end of his career and his son is also impressing in the youth ranks of Juventus. Nine-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo Jr, has scored some eye-catching goals for the Juventus U9s and in the nearest future could rival Thiago in another long years of rivalries just like their dads.
