Police operatives in Katsina have rescued 28 girls abducted at Kasai village in the Batsari Local Government area of the state.
Spokesman for state Police Command, Abubakar Aliyu, said the children were abducted on April 1st by 10:30 am while fetching firewood in the outskirts of Kasai village.
Aliyu said the victims were rescued as a result of the efforts of the dedicated rescue team following the escalation of pressure and concerted actions of the command.
He promised that efforts to ensure the safety and security of the community and the state will continue unabated.
